The National Revenue Authority (NRA) has successfully concluded its Senior Management Retreat, held from 8 - 11 July 2026 at the Atlantic Lumley Beach Hotel under the theme: “*Institutionalizing a Culture of Accountability for Sustained High Performance: One Team, One Vision*.”
The retreat brought together the Authority’s senior leadership to reflect on institutional progress, review strategic priorities, assess ongoing reforms, and strengthen the leadership and accountability needed to sustain revenue growth.
In her opening remarks, the Commissioner General, Mrs. Jeneba J. Bangura, thanked the Board of Directors for their continued guidance and support and commended the Senior Management Team for its dedication and resilience. While acknowledging the challenges associated with revenue mobilization, she noted that the Authority had made significant progress and expressed confidence that, through sustained commitment and teamwork, the NRA is well positioned to achieve and surpass its 2027 revenue target.
Speaking on behalf of the Board, Ms. Memunatu B. Rogers applauded Management for its unwavering commitment to improving revenue performance and reaffirmed the Board’s continued support for the Authority’s transformation agenda.
Also addressing participants, Deputy Commissioner General II, Mr. Gerald H.P Ganda, encouraged staff to uphold diligence, accountability and efficient service delivery as essential drivers of sustainable revenue growth and institutional excellence.
Over the 3 days, participants reviewed the Authority’s Strategic Plan, institutional reforms, organizational restructuring, reform implementation methodologies and strategic project priorities. Leadership and organizational culture sessions further reinforced the importance of teamwork, innovation, accountability and results-driven performance in achieving the Authority’s mandate.
The retreat concluded with a renewed commitment by Senior Management to strengthen collaboration, accelerate reforms and enhance domestic revenue mobilization in support of Sierra Leone’s national development.
