The National Revenue Authority (NRA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, the National Petroleum Regulatory Agency (NPRA), and SICPA, today conducted a joint assessment tour of selected factories and businesses in Freetown to strengthen compliance with the Tax Stamp Law.
The team visited Mackie Cement Factory at Hastings, SICPA Warehouse at Wellington, LEONE Oil Company at Kissy, Rockcem, and King Production at Shell, Kissy. The exercise focused on assessing compliance with tax stamp requirements, identifying potential gaps, and strengthening revenue assurance.
The NRA delegation was led by Edwin Conteh, Deputy Commissioner of the Domestic Tax Department, and Moo-Usa Salia Konneh Assistant Commissioner Excise Office, DTD, the Ministry of Finance by Idrissa Kanu, Director of the Revenue and Tax Policy Division; NPRA by Ansumana Samura, Director of Operations and Pricing; and SICPA by Maxwell Massaquoi, General Manager.
The joint exercise underscores the Government’s commitment to strengthening domestic revenue mobilization, ensuring fair competition, and preventing revenue leakages through improved compliance and enforcement.
The institutions reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration and urged all relevant businesses to comply fully with the Tax Stamp Law and other applicable tax obligations.
