The Commissioner General of the National Revenue Authority (NRA), Mrs. Jeneba J. Bangura, engaged representatives of commercial banks to strengthen collaboration in support of effective revenue administration.
She commended the banks for their role in achieving the 2025 revenue targets and emphasized the importance of fully implementing the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Discussions focused on improving the integration of the Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS) with banking platforms to enhance efficiency, transparency, and reduce transaction delays.
The Commissioner General also highlighted communication gaps and called for improved information sharing. Commissioners from the Authority’s operational departments shared perspectives on strengthening coordination.
Speaking for the banks, the President of the Sierra Leone Association of Commercial Banks, Mr. Mohamed Alhaji Samoura, reaffirmed the banks’ commitment to continued cooperation. Both parties agreed to strengthen collaboration, system integration, and communication.
