Tax and customs operations are data and information-driven businesses. As such, sustainable and agile ICT services are essential for us to sustain operations and, to continuously improve revenue performance and service delivery. Access to data resources (both within and outside of the tax agency) for compliance analytics is a key success factor for revenue performance.
The ICT department is charged with the responsibility of providing and ensuring responsive, effective, and efficient ICT services to the Authority and all stakeholders (including taxpayers), in the fulfilment of the NRA’s core mandate of domestic revenue mobilization and collection.
The main functions of the ICT department are to:
Implement and maintain the ICT infrastructure to support communication and collaboration amongst revenue information system end users.
Implement and maintain Business software systems to support the administrative and revenue collection objectives of the Authority.
Implement security systems to support data integrity through data security, data privacy & confidentiality, and data availability.
Explore new ICT infrastructure and software development to enhance the simplification & efficiency of the Authority’s processes & procedures.
Manage and maintain the NRA website, corporate email service, and intranet.
Develop NRA staff computing capabilities through continuous training.
